Get to know tom franklin

My name is Tom Franklin, and I am the organist at the 9:30 am Sunday Mass. Born in 1978 in Kentucky's Eastern Hills, I developed an interest in church music at an early age. I began playing the piano in church when I was 12 and held my first organist position when I was 16. Since then, I've played in a variety of churches and liturgical settings and have worked with many talented adult choirs, children's choirs, ensembles, contemporary groups, vocalists, and instrumentalists.

I studied church music under organists Ronna Yeager, David Leslie, Mike Conley, Dr. Randy Sheets (Union College), and Nina Key Campbell (NKU), and hold the Service Playing Certificate from the American Guild of
Organists.

Apart from church music, I have worked at Comair Airlines and Choice Hotels Intl. and have taught many, many piano lessons. I currently reside in Independence, KY, with my parents and green iguana, Parker.
