Get to know ellen habermehl.

Hello, my name is Ellen Habermehl, and I am the parish secretary. My main duties are to prepare the weekly bulletin for printing and assist couples who want to be married here with the wedding registration process. I document sacramental data and enter new parishioner data, and well…anything Fr. Comer asks me to do!  There is never a dull moment, and I like that! I will soon pass the Virtus coordinator hat to Mary Ann Kelly, our pastoral assistant. My contact information is on the front of the bulletin. If you have any questions, please call, email, or stop by the office anytime. I would love to meet you.

My home is in Maysville (for over 40 years). I grew up in Augusta, KY, with wonderful parents, John (Bud) and Betty Habermehl, and two very good (don’t tell them I said that!) younger brothers, Michael and Anthony. I retired from Emerson at the end of 2014, having worked in various office departments for 36 years. At age 12, I began playing the organ for Masses at St. Augustine in Augusta and for several years also at St. James Brooksville. I loved it! Hence, my love for the Mass.

When Bishop Iffert was here last year, he told us about someone in his childhood who had told him to “greet everyone as if they are Christ.” I decided to put that at the top of my job list. So, when we meet, may we see Christ in each other!
