HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
DPAA 2012:
We received the progress report from the Diocese
that shows pledges made to the 2012 fund drive. Many of the pledges are made
directly to the Diocesan Offices so this information isn’t available to us on an
immediate basis. As of May 3, 2012, a total of 168 pledges were made and the
total pledges amount to $63,853.02. This is $11,253.02 over our goal and these
funds, as well as all pledges from now, on will come back to us in the form of
rebates. We can’t thank you all enough for your quick response to the 2012 DPAA
Fund Drive. Let’s make this the best drive ever. See us if we can assist you in
making your pledge. Louise and Dutch Dickman.
SAVE THE DATE
for the Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home
Festival on Friday, June 8 through Sunday, June 10. Once again, Mother of God
Parish will be sponsoring our Cake Booth. Watch for details on how you can
participate!
HEALTH AND WELLNESS MINISTRY: In
the credenza, marked with a red cross, on the rectory side in the back of church
we have an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). If you would be interested
in taking a CPR/AED class, the Edgewood Fire Dept. offers classes on the last
Saturday of the month for $30. Contact Chris Whittenberger at 859.468.2938.
You could also check with your own fire departments to see if they offer
classes. CPR is a good thing for all of us to know as it has been proven that
folks receiving CPR have a greater chance of survival.
