Bereavement Committee

  • Helps family members plan funerals;
  • “Arimatheans” participate in the funeral liturgies

DeafCommunity                                                                                                                  
Worships at 11:30 AM Sunday Mass together and continues with a social or business meeting as needed afterwards in the Hall. Religious instruction and ongoing formation is provided as needed. Contact Sr. Rosemarie Pohlman, SNDdeN at 426-1152.

Coffee and Donuts following Sunday Mass
Servers work once a month after one of the two Masses.

Health and Wellness Ministry

  • Educate and raise awareness of health management issues
  • Encourage improved personal responsibility for health by providing monthly screening for blood pressure, and other health screenings as scheduled.
  • Advocate/identify resources to meet health-related needs through personal consultation.

Ladies Altar Society

  • Sit together at 9:30 Mass on the fourth Sunday of the month
  • Have an annual card party at Easter and a Christmas Social
  • Take care of mending and laundering the altar linens and ministers’ robes
  • Purchase items needed for the liturgy
No regular meetings; $3 per year dues.

Liturgy and Worship Committee

  • Provide formation to the parish on liturgy
  • Provide opportunities for communication and organization among liturgical ministers
  • Prepare liturgical celebrations with special attention to the environment

  • Discuss and advise the pastor on all important matters
  • Determine needs of the parish and set policy
  • Establish priorities for parish action and funding
  • Coordinate activities for reaching goals and objectives

  • Raise awareness of life issues and Church teaching
  • Encourage action in defense of life

Social Concerns Committee

  • Raise awareness of justice issues 
  • Educate about Catholic social teaching
  • Encourage experiences of working for justice and charity, e.g. lobbying with Catholic Conference of Kentucky and Network and by helping our parish-supported agencies
  • Coordinate with Diocesan Justice and Peace efforts

St. Vincent dePaul

  • Volunteers address requests made for assistance by the needy within our parish boundaries by locating resources and applying remedies 
  • Take up a quarterly collection from the parish
